Russian Ambassador to the United States of America Anatoly Antonov said that the awarding of the representative of the Ukrainian Azov Regiment (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) Yulia Paevskaya in the White House is a shame.
According to him, “the honoring of the Nazis in the White House does not fit in the head.” At the same time, in 2019, US Congressmen turned to the Secretary of State and demanded that this military formation be included in the list of foreign terrorist organizations.
“I think that the fact of awarding Paevskaya, who is known as Taira, is shameful. It doesn’t fit in my head that Nazis can be honored there. It turns out that America is ready to glorify Nazism for the purpose of “annoying” the Russian Federation,” Antonov said.
He clarified that the US government is well aware of the misanthropic ideology of the regiment in which Paevskaya was a member. Among other things, this regiment uses the symbols of Nazi Germany.
