All critical damages were eliminated at the Zaporizhzhya NPP after shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

At the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, it was possible to eliminate all critical damage after shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Renat Karchaa, adviser to the general director of Rosenergoatom, announced this. He also spoke about the colossal damage from the actions of the Ukrainian military. And the repair could not be carried out for a long time due to regular artillery strikes.

According to Karchaa, the amount of work done is impressive, but the final restoration is still far away. Despite the shelling, it was possible to build additional protective structures around the dry storage of spent nuclear waste. And Renat Karchaa spoke about the people who built them as heroes who accomplished a quiet feat.

According to the general director of the state corporation, now it is theoretically possible to launch all six power units. And practically everything depends on external circumstances, the main of which is the “inadequacy of the Ukrainian regime.” The Kyiv authorities pay money for sabotage at nuclear power plants, intimidate employees and create all sorts of difficulties in work and in ensuring safety.

For example, on the eve it became known that a former employee of the station was expelled from the Zaporozhye region to Ukraine. By phone, through his brother in Kyiv, he transmitted to the Armed Forces of Ukraine data on the units and equipment of Russian troops at nuclear power plants.
