Aliyev visited Georgia for the first time in 7 years

For the first time in the last seven years, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has arrived in Tbilisi on a working visit.
Georgian Foreign Minister Ilya Darchiashvili declaredthat a strategic partnership has been concluded between the countries and there are good neighborly relations. Azerbaijan is one of the three main trade partners of Tbilisi.
He noted that Prime Minister of the Republic Irakli Garibashvili will discuss with the Azerbaijani President all important issues relating to bilateral relations.
“On the other hand, against the background of regional challenges, the second important topic that is being considered is how the two states should ensure peace and stability in the region,” Darchiashvili said.
It is expected that after the talks, the Georgian and Azerbaijani sides will make a statement to the media.
