Member of the Board of Directors and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab Alexey De-Monderik left the Board of Directors and the company, and also sold his stake, informs RTVI with reference to the press service of the company.
“Aleksey De-Monderik left the company and the board of directors. By agreement of the parties, the company bought back his shares,” the press service of Kaspersky Lab said, adding that De-Monderic is no longer involved in the activities of the company.
De-Monderik owned 6.3 million shares of Kaspersky Lab, which the company bought back for $50 million. As a result, at the moment, Evgeny Kaspersky has 53.9 million shares of the company (91.8%), Vadim Bogdanov has 4.7 million shares (8.1%), Tatiana Shifon has 1,000 shares (0.1%). The company itself is valued at $515.5 million.
Alexey De-Monderik graduated from the Faculty of Aircraft Control Systems of the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1988. He joined the team of Evgeny Kaspersky in 1991, worked on the AVP anti-virus project at the KAMI Information Technology Center.
De-Monderik co-founded the company in 1997 and has been responsible for product development, as well as leading the technology development of the company’s anti-virus core products and technology development.
