This was reported by the former head of the Ilyushin company Alexei Rogozin. Evaluating photos of drones in flight and their fragments on the ground, he wrote in his channel that these are aircraft-type drones with a canard aerodynamic configuration. Such drones were used in the attack on Krasnodar on May 26.
They are equipped with an internal combustion engine. Wingspan not less than four meters. Theoretically, they can fly to a range of 400 to 1000 kilometers. The estimated cost is $30-200 thousand.
The problem of countering such drones is that electronic jammers for such devices are generally useless. “The only way to effectively counter them is to shoot down,” Rogozin Jr. concluded.
