In Desnogorsk, he went to a good school and, I hope, his experience will help our regional capital to become better. But we must persistently move forward and continue those positive initiatives that were implemented by Andrei Borisov and his team, ”advised State Duma deputy (LDPR) from the Smolensk region Sergei Leonov.
The new head of Smolensk does not plan to radically change the team of deputies that worked with ex-mayor Andrey Borisov. Of the upcoming resignations of vice-mayors, Alexander Novikov confirmed only the dismissal of Anna Parkhomenko, deputy for municipal services.
“The first task is to modernize the management team, which should share my values. This is respect for residents, colleagues and partners. We need to be a team and support each other. The third important value for me is responsibility. I adhered to these values while working in the administration of Desnogorsk, and I tried to convey them here. I will be happy to work with those who are ready to adhere to these values. They will have to part with those to whom they are alien, ”Novikov told Kommersant.
“A separate area in which I see the administration’s shortcomings is inconsistency in interaction with the Smolensk people. It is necessary to listen to the townspeople, take into account their opinion and make decisions based on the wishes of the Smolensk people. In general, I do not want to evaluate the results of the predecessor’s work. We are looking to the future. Let’s analyze what we got. But I am not a supporter of the “witch hunt” and sweeping criticism. We will try to do better,” promised the newly elected head of Smolensk.
