Alessandro Michele appointed creative director of Valentino – Style

Italian designer Alessandro Michele took over Valentino as creative director. On March 22, Pierpaolo Piccioli, who worked for the Italian brand for 25 years, announced his resignation. Almost immediately there were rumors that Michele could take his place. Alessandro Michele is best known as the creative director of Gucci, who breathed new life into the brand that was losing popularity. Thanks to the Italian, the brand acquired a new identity and attracted a huge part of the young audience, once again becoming one of the key brands in global high fashion.

It is not yet known when Alessandro Michele will present his first collection for Valentino. He created his debut show as creative director of Gucci in eight days – so we can safely assume that we will see the new Valentino collection at the next Milan Fashion Week in September.
