The air defense forces shot down five Ukrainian drones overnight and landed four more drones by means of electronic warfare, the head of the Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said in his Telegram channel.
“Over the past night, air defense forces shot down 5 enemy UAVs, 4 more were jammed and planted by electronic warfare. As a result of the fall of one of the UAVs, windows were broken in three private sector houses and two cars in the city of Dzhankoy,” – wrote He.
Another unexploded drone was found on the territory of a private house, and 50 people had to be evacuated to a temporary accommodation facility for demining. No one was injured in the attack, Aksyonov said.
Earlier, Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of Crimea on information policy, said that a drone was shot down in Dzhankoy in the north of Crimea. In early February, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat was set indefinitely in Crimea. Since October 2022, the “medium response” regime has been in effect in the region.
