Aksyonov promised to transfer Zelensky’s apartment in Crimea to low-income families

The apartment of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Crimea can be transferred to low-income or large families. About it declared Crimean leader Sergei Aksyonov in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

“We simply first seek to nationalize those objects that, we will say, bring income to the enemy. Therefore, taking into account the fact that Zelensky is not renting an apartment yet, maybe one of his relatives is coming for the season, I, of course, exaggerate. This is not an end in itself – to take away an apartment from Zelensky. Our very goal is to defeat them, and we will win, this is without options, ”he said.

Aksyonov also added that an additional list on the nationalization of the property of Ukrainian oligarchs in Crimea would be ready at the end of March.

The Zelensky family owns an apartment in the village of Livadia in Yalta and a parking space there, their area is 129.8 and 16.1 square meters. m respectively. The property is registered to Zelensky’s wife Elena, she bought apartment in 2013, when Crimea was still part of Ukraine.

In April 2022, deputies of the State Council of Crimea made to the State Duma a bill that makes it possible to forcibly seize the property of citizens from unfriendly countries. Amendments are proposed to be made to Part 1 of Art. 235 of the Civil Code (“grounds for termination of property rights”). However, the President’s Codification Council considered this project to be contrary to the Constitution and therefore did not support it. Despite this, in October the deputies of the State Council of Crimea supported changes.
