Airstrike on Sudan’s capital kills 40 people

At least 40 people were killed in an airstrike on a market in southern Khartoum. transmits Reuters, citing a statement from a local volunteer emergency service.
This number of victims, according to the agency, was the largest in the entire civil war in Sudan, which began on April 15. Another attack occurred on September 5, Reuters citing activist group Emergency Lawyers wrote about 32 dead and dozens wounded as a result of artillery strikes by the Sudanese army.
In April, the country began to experience full-scale fighting involving weapons between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese Armed Forces. The clashes follow a conflict between General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who heads the armed forces, and General Mohamed Hamdan “Hemeti” Dagalo, the commander of the RSF.
In May, Al Arabiya TV channel reported that during the military conflict, 676 civilians were killed and more than 5,575 people were injured. In the same month, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the evacuation of more than 200 Russians from Sudan, and in August it became known about the removal from the country of some of the employees of the Russian embassy.
