An air raid alert has been declared in five regions of Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports citing data from the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Reportedly, the alarm was first declared in the Sumy region, then in the Chernihiv, Poltava and Nikolaev regions of Ukraine, as well as in parts of the Kherson region controlled by Kyiv.
Earlier, Jack Watling, a researcher at the British Royal United Defense Studies Institute (RUSI), said that attacks on critical infrastructure would make the winter very difficult for Ukraine. In his opinion, strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against critical infrastructure facilities pose a strategic threat to the Kyiv regime. Watling called on Ukraine to “prepare for a difficult winter.”
The Russian army began striking the infrastructure of Ukraine on October 10, in response to the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge. Strikes are carried out only on military targets, as well as energy facilities. During this time, air raid alerts in areas controlled by Kyiv are announced virtually every day, and periodically this happens throughout the country.
