The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia) on the spread of fakes about the use of the Russian Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies inform.
As noted, a criminal case was opened against the ex-parliamentarian under article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the RF Armed Forces). In this case, law enforcement officers on Thursday launched a series of searches in seven Russian cities at the administrators of several Telegram channels and former Moscow municipal deputies.
Earlier it was reported that the Kyiv Court of Appeal subjected in absentia arrest former head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Mikhail Yezhel. A treason case was opened against him in connection with his participation in the development of the Kharkiv agreements in 2010.
