The actress told how the master communicated with his subordinates
Today, People’s Artist of the USSR, artistic director of the Maly Theater Yuri Solomin, has passed away. He passed away at the age of 89. Colleagues remember Yuri Methodievich only with the kindest words.
Actress Natalya Gvozdikova played with Solomin in the serial film “Crime: Deception” directed by Evgeny Tashkov. At the same time, she believes that cinema was still in second place for him after the theater. And now that Solomin has left, Gvozdikova is concerned about the question of who will now take care of the artistic content of the Maly Theater.
“The film “Crime: Deception” is one of the few films in which Solomin starred, because the theater was mainly an outlet for him. He had his own office, his own team, which he knew well. And people in the theater always treated him with great respect. And nothing was required for this. It was enough the way he spoke, the way he expressed his thoughts, the way he communicated with people of different generations and different religions. The way he spoke and received guests in his theater. This is also very important, because you immediately ask yourself the question: “Who comes in return?”
I relate well to people of different ages, I film with them and take part in concerts. Now young people are coming, they have a different passion, a different upbringing, but still Yuri Methodievich Solomin is the only one. I didn’t know his brother at all, although we traveled together, but never crossed paths. And Yuri Methodievich and I rode in cars and were in the dressing room together. And now the theater is simply orphaned,” the actress concluded.
