Aeroflot introduced compensation for flight delays with miles

“Aeroflot“from October 2 under the program “Aeroflot bonus” introduced compensation in miles for flight delays, reported carrier press service.

“Miles will be awarded in the event of a flight delay due to the fault of the airline, in addition to compensation measures established by law,” the message says.

In particular, in case of a flight delay of two to four hours, compensation will be 2,000 miles, from four to eight – 3,000 miles. If the flight is delayed for more than eight hours, the client will be credited with 4,000 miles. Aeroflot clarified that non-qualifying miles will be awarded, which can be exchanged for qualifying ones.

CEO “Aeroflot“Sergey Aleksandrovsky emphasized that the carrier is the leader in the ratings of the most punctual airlines in Russia and the world. According to him, the innovations will be an incentive for the company to maintain a high level of punctuality and will increase compensation to air travelers for inconvenience.
