Shareholders of ALROSA (MOEX: ALRS) at an extraordinary meeting on September 30 approved payment of dividends for the first half of 2023 in the amount of 3.77 rubles. per share. The total amount of payments will be 27.77 billion rubles.
Pay dividends in this amount recommended ALROSA Supervisory Board at its meeting on August 29. The list of shareholders entitled to receive dividends will be determined as of October 18.
In April 2022, ALROSA was included in the US sanctions list. The company did not pay final dividends for 2021, interim and final dividends for 2022. Supervisory Board explained the last decision was a desire to increase the company’s sustainability, “taking into account external uncertainties.” ALROSA’s dividend policy involves paying out at least 50% of net profit under IFRS for the year.
In August, ALROSA published financial statements for the first time since 2021. At the end of the first half of 2023, the company maintained revenue at the level of 187.8 billion rubles. Net profit under IFRS for this period decreased by 35%, to 55.57 billion rubles.
