Orthodox churches were targeted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Orthodox churches became one of the targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the new Russian territories – advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Igor Kimakovsky told TASS.

According to the news agency’s interlocutor, in liberated Avdiivka, our soldiers found several cell phones in Ukrainian positions. They were restored. In one of the phones, presumably of a Ukrainian artilleryman, the coordinates of almost all Orthodox churches of the DPR were found.

As Igor Kimanovsky explained, Orthodox churches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not being shelled independently, but at the direction of curators from the West. The same situation was in Syria, where extremists fired at churches.

Last year, during the Feast of the Transfiguration, seven rockets fired from the Grad MLRS fell near the central church of Donetsk. On Easter night, the Transfiguration Cathedral in Donetsk was shelled. Several people were injured, one died.
