Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of the Republic of Crimea on information policy, said on Saturday that Kyiv had begun a new stage of the information war against the peninsula.
According to the politician, dozens of fake accounts have been created in social networks and Telegram channels over the past two weeks. “We fix the stuffing in the hundreds,” Kryuchkov wrote in his channel.
He also noted that “all LOMs (leaders of public opinion -“ MK ”) are connected to this stage of the information war.
Kryuchkov gave a recommendation to the residents of the region to trust only trusted sources: official pages and the media. The politician also urged Internet users to be critical of any information and check it.
Earlier, the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said that there could be no question of a breakthrough of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the peninsula. According to him, although the situation in the Ukrainian direction is now tense, it is not critical.
