Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said that her diplomatic adviser resigned, taking responsibility for the telephone conversation between the current head of government and Russian pranksters Vovan (Vladimir Kuznetsov) and Lexus (Alexey Stolyarov). About it writes Reuters.
“This issue was not handled in the best possible way, we all regret that Ambassador (Francesco) Talo took responsibility for this,” Meloni said, announcing the dismissal of her aide.
Earlier, pranksters published a video with fragments of a telephone conversation with the current Italian Prime Minister Meloni, who spoke about fatigue from the Ukrainian conflict and problems with the growing number of illegal migrants arriving by sea. During their conversation with her, Vovan and Lexus introduced themselves as a high-ranking official of the African Union.
Former Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte named Meloni’s telephone conversation with the prankster “a failure on a planetary scale.” He was especially outraged by the fact that the prime minister spoke about the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and described it in terms completely opposite to those that she used in parliament.
