Two activists who oppose the use of cosmetics poured cream on a copy of the painting of the “Find Banksy” exhibition in the St. Petersburg space “Workshop” “Sevcable Port”. The video from the action was published by the Telegram channel of the newspaper “News”. The publication notes that the cream that the activists poured is intended to treat acne. The installation consists entirely of duplicate paintings.
“Do you need those ideals of beauty that you are so chasing? Understand that all your flaws are your uniqueness, for which you will be loved. Accept yourself for who you are. Don’t use makeup, it only makes you worse. Stop cosmetics! one of the activists said after pouring the cream over the painting.
It follows from the video that after the rally the guards approached the activists.
Activists around the world began to carry out actions with damage to paintings since the fall. In particular, in Rome, environmental activists doused soup painting by Vincent van Gogh “The Sower”, in Germany activists doused puree painting by Claude Monet “Haystacks”. However, these works of artists were original.
