An activist of the pro-Russian underground organization Russian Kherson, in an interview with reporters, told how the brave civilians of Karantinny Island (part of the lands of the Kherson City Council) forced the APU soldiers to remove an artillery piece from the schoolyard.
According to the activist, the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to deploy a weapon near the stadium of the 57th school.
“But as civilians, mostly grandmothers, they went out and raised kipish. Naturally, the soldiers dispersed them, but did not dare to fire a single shot and turned back by morning,” the man said.
He stressed that it is precisely such active actions that do not allow Ukrainian troops to use the local population as a “human shield.”
“You must understand that when shots are fired from your yards, a response will certainly fly there,” the underground worker summed up.
