Acting heads of the DPR and LPR signed decrees on the demobilization of students

Acting Heads of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik signed decrees on the dismissal of students called up as part of the mobilization from military service. The relevant decrees are published on the websites of the heads of the republics.
According to the documents, students who are enrolled in full-time and part-time forms of education, who were called up as part of mobilization, are dismissed from military service. Decrees come into force from the moment of publication.
On November 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the demobilization of students from the DPR and LPR. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.
General military mobilization in the DPR and LPR was announced on February 19, then Pushilin called on “countrymen who are in reserve” to arrive at the military commissariat. The mobilization began due to the constant violation of the ceasefire regime, and also, as the head of the republic emphasized, Kyiv has plans for a military offensive on uncontrolled territories.
The special military operation began on 24 February. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
