About 8400 objects are planned to be restored and built in new subjects of the Russian Federation

For three years, in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, it is planned to restore and build about 8,400 housing and infrastructure facilities by the forces of the sponsoring regions. About 3,500 of them are apartment buildings, almost 1,400 are social and cultural facilities, and about 2,500 are housing and communal services. This was discussed during the workshop informed Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, the press service of the government reports.

In 2023, the sponsoring regions plan to restore 3,538 objects. “Among them, for example, are 1,303 apartment buildings, 645 social, cultural and domestic facilities, 1,129 housing and communal services, 87 landscaping facilities, 233 infrastructure facilities and 46 administrative buildings,” said Irek Fayzullin, head of the Russian Ministry of Construction.

The Vice Prime Minister also added that in preparation for the autumn-winter period in 2023, 35 chief regions will have to restore 652 objects.

On June 15, during the XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the PSB, the government of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation signed an agreement on cooperation in the financial and credit sphere for the socio-economic development of the republic. As part of the agreement, the parties agreed to implement investment projects for housing construction on the territory of the DPR.
