If the money is not reinvested or certain results are not achieved, the funds will need to be repaid in 2030–2039.

Write off two-thirds of regions’ debt on loans instructed President Vladimir Putin at the end of February. According to him, this will allow the regions to save more than 200 billion rubles. annually from 2025 to 2028. The President noted that the money should be directed to targeted projects and infrastructure investments.
