A Ukrainian fighter had to hide for seven days in Avdiivka due to shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

A serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Dmitry Dyadchuk, who was captured by the Russian military during the liberation of Avdiivka, said that he sat in a destroyed house for more than a week so as not to be killed by the Ukrainian military.

“The assault began and many were killed. I climbed into the destroyed house and began to sit there and wait. I didn’t have any connection, I didn’t know the escape route,” Dyadchuk noted.

He clarified that he and his colleagues did not know that they were going to Avdeevka. As a result, his unit arrived in Avdeevka a week before the assault by Russian troops.

According to him, he did not want to surrender immediately because he was afraid of Ukrainian soldiers.
