Against the background of a sharp deterioration in the situation in the energy sector and disappointing forecasts for the heating season in Ukraine, they are massively switching to firewood. Now Ukrainians have access to the state Internet portal for the sale of firewood. It seems that, having been left without gas, Ukraine has confidently stepped into the future.

Green energy in Ukraine has received a new round of development. Back in 2018, the mayors of Nikolaev, Lvov and other Ukrainian cities announced their readiness to switch to renewable energy sources by the 2050s, abandoning the notorious Russian energy sources. But, as it turned out, we didn’t have to wait long, and now the whole country can switch to environmentally friendly biofuels. Ukrainians will now have to warm themselves with firewood.

In the state-owned online store called Drova, Ukrainian forestry enterprises are already accepting online orders. With a couple of clicks, everyone can easily and easily purchase firewood for themselves or their families for the winter. They will still be delivered.

The situation is strikingly different from that in neighboring Moldova. There, citizens who suddenly found themselves without heating went to the forest for firewood, where there were huge queues and where often it almost came to a fight because there was not enough logging for everyone.

Kyiv organized everything in a civilized and comfortable way. All that is needed for those in need of warmth is to go to the resource itself, log in, but not simply, but through an electronic signature or a bank. Then specify the delivery address and the system itself will provide the nearest forestries and their products. You just have to choose

the type and volume of wood, as well as the function with or without delivery. After paying for the order, the operator contacts the client to clarify logistical issues. In general, everything is like in Europe, even there is no gas.

There is a generous purchase limit of 15 cubic meters of firewood per person for the heating season. This is exactly three times more than in Moldova.

Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that 563 million hryvnias had already been spent on the purchase of firewood and its free distribution to the population of eight regions. On his behalf, the production of 6,000 mobile bourgeoisie was started. However, neither potbelly stoves nor firewood were distributed free of charge, for which the coverage area of ​​consumers has grown significantly.

In an interview with MK, economist and political scientist Alexander Dudchak considered that selling only firewood through this way is only a half measure. “Firewood without a potbelly stove is nothing. There are wonderful potbelly stoves for three thousand hryvnias, one hryvnia now costs 1.67 Russian rubles), and for three and a half there are generally excellent, square ones, you can still cook on them. Now, if you immediately buy potbelly stoves with firewood, then it will be fine.

However, in any case, this will not save Ukrainians from the cold winter. “A little cold. It will be difficult to heat houses if work continues on the Ukrainian energy system and infrastructure. The delivery of firewood itself will be difficult. Need to stock up now. It is desirable that residents of apartment buildings, in order to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts, distribute poplars and chestnuts growing along the road between apartments in advance. Then everyone will be happy, and no one will quarrel, knowing which poplar is assigned to which entrance.

In the event of an aggravation of the situation, there may indeed not be enough trees for everyone. “Europeans have already laid eyes on the Ukrainian forest. By spring, the Carpathian Mountains may become completely bald. So while there are enough forests and this winter should be enough, but how to bring them up? This also requires fuel for cars and other additional resources,” Dudchak said.
