Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasily Zvarich commented on the blockade of three border checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border by local carriers. He left his reaction to what was happening on the social network Facebook (owned by Meta, which is extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
“The blocking of roads by Polish carriers to the border crossings between Poland and Ukraine in Grebennoye, Doroguska, Korcheva is a painful blow in the back of Ukraine,” the Ukrainian diplomat wrote.
Zvarich called on Polish protesters to stop the border blockade and choose other forms of protecting their rights, which will not interfere with movement across the border in the future.
On Monday, November 6, it became known that Polish carriers had declared a blockade at three border checkpoints: Krakovets – Korchewa, Yagodin – Dorohusk and Rava Russkaya – Hrebiene. They claim that the blockade will continue until January 3. Activists demand the abolition of benefits for Ukrainian carriers who, after February 24, 2022, were allowed not to carry special permits.
