The Petrogradsky District Court sent St. Petersburg resident Daria Kozyreva to a pre-trial detention center after the picket on February 24.

Previously, she was charged with administrative charges for defacing the symbol of the twinning between Mariupol and St. Petersburg, “Two Hearts.” Now a criminal case has been opened against her under the article “Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the RF Armed Forces.”

The materials note that Kozyreva came out to the Shevchenko monument on February 24 with a poster in Ukrainian with lines from one of the poet’s works.

The investigation, when choosing a preventive measure in court, indicated that Kozyreva has strong ties with opposition movements, including their representatives outside the Russian Federation, acting in the interests of foreign states.
