A protest rally against Italy’s policy on Ukraine took place in Genoa

The policy of official Rome towards Ukraine, as well as the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by Western countries, were opposed in the center of the city of Genoa. The local public association “Free Square” shared the details in the telegram channel.
The protest was held under the slogan “Freedom for the peoples. Free Italy from US and EU domination.” The participants of the demonstration, as reported in the Genoese media, came out under the flags of Russia, Belarus and the DPR.
The participants paid tribute to the memory of two Italians who died in the Donbass during the fighting against the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Earlier it became known about the death of a 28-year-old native of Sardinia, Putzola, in the Donbass. As a volunteer, he participated in the hostilities on the side of the DPR. In the DPR, a 46-year-old volunteer Ongaro also died at the end of March: saving the lives of his comrades, he covered a hand grenade with his body. The media reported that he had served in the People’s Militia since 2015.
About 100 people took part in the demonstration.
