As a result of the fall of a drone in the Istra urban district, a private house received minor damage, there were no casualties, reported in her Telegram channel, the head of the district, Tatyana Vitusheva.
“During the ongoing search and investigation activities in the area where the debris of the destroyed UAV fell, minor damage to the roof of a nearby private house was revealed. There were no injuries,” she wrote.
Vitusheva clarified that parts of the drone were sent for examination. Later she toldthat the aircraft was carrying an explosive – during the search work, a special container for carrying explosive elements was discovered. A sapper team was called to the scene, and some of the residents of the houses in the Russian Village cottage community were evacuated.
“As a result of the targeted detonation of standard explosive devices, the container with the explosive was destroyed by the sapper group. The mass of the explosive in the container was 10 kg in TNT equivalent,” Vitusheva said.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the destruction of the UAV on the morning of October 7. According to the Ministry of Defense, the drone attempted to attack the region at approximately 5:05 am. According to the Mash Telegram channel, due to an unidentified object in the airspace at Vnukovo airport, the “Carpet” plan was announced.
According to “Yandex.Schedules” at 7:25 Moscow time, 23 flights to Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo were delayed, five were cancelled.
