PepsiCo prohibited Ukraine from mentioning the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military operations in advertising of products
The American company PepsiCo has prohibited Ukrainian marketers from mentioning the Ukrainian Armed Forces, military operations and supporting Kyiv when advertising their products. This was reported by the B4Ukraine organization, which keeps records of companies that continue to operate in Russia.
“NO: references to war, hostilities, aggression, military personnel, the Armed Forces of Ukraine. NO: support for Ukraine and the army. NO: negative connotations that create a feeling of ‘insecurity,'” the company said in a statement.
It is noted that such bans were announced in the fall of 2023, when the company was looking for new advertising partners.
We would like to remind you that in September last year, NAPC of Ukraine included the product manufacturers PepsiCo and Mars in the list of “international war sponsors” due to continued cooperation with Russia.
