The Ryazan Regional Duma may delegate its representative to the Federation Council (SF) instead of Igor Morozov, who resigned in November 2022, in September 2023, a source in the regional legislative assembly and an interlocutor close to the legislative assembly told Vedomosti. On the single voting day (UDG) on September 10, 2023, if the guilty verdict against the deputy from United Russia Stanislav Podol comes into force, by-elections to the regional duma will be held.
On February 20, the Perovsky District Court of Moscow sentenced Podol to compulsory labor for a period of 300 hours in a criminal case on the production of products that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers (part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). We are talking about the poisoning of schoolchildren and pupils of kindergartens in the Eastern District of Moscow with butter produced by AMK Ryazansky, headed by Podol. In connection with the expiration of the statute of limitations, the deputy was released from serving his sentence.
