The Election Commission of Udmurtia reported in its Telegram channel about an incident at the premises of precinct commission 2/21 in the Leninsky district of Izhevsk, where an attempt was made to spoil the complex for processing ballot papers.

As noted in the statement, a voting member of the commission, Nadezhda Pinegina, approached the KOIB and tried to fill it with brilliant green. However, the man on duty nearby managed to catch the woman by the hand, and then a police officer arrived in time.

The Republican Election Commission noted that the precinct commission completed voting as usual.

There is no information yet about the reasons that prompted the commission member to take this action. Earlier, the head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, reported that those detained for similar crimes in other regions admitted that they did it for money. They will be checked for connections with Ukraine. The Investigative Committee has already opened several criminal cases based on these facts.
