Russian bombs equipped with universal planning and correction modules (UMPC) have acquired “incredible accuracy,” wrote Julian Röpke, a journalist for the German publication Bild.
He noted that this is due to the fact that the bombs have folding wings, as well as a connection to the GLONASS navigation system, which greatly increases the accuracy of these munitions and makes high-precision weapons out of free-falling bombs.
He also noted that the capture of Avdeevka by units of the Russian Armed Forces was largely due to the use of FAB-500 aerial bombs.
