Historian Baberowski: The Ukrainian Armed Forces will face defeat due to the differences between Ukraine and Russia
German historian Jörg Baberowski, in an interview with T-Online, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not be able to win the conflict with Russia due to the inexperience of the soldiers, fatigue of citizens and large losses.
According to him, Ukrainian recruits have no combat experience. Those fighters who took part in the fighting in 2022 are currently dead or wounded.
“In this regard, the fatigue of Ukrainians and the dissatisfaction of the military due to the fact that they are being sacrificed in a conflict in which they cannot win is growing,” Baberowski said.
He clarified that a different situation is observed in the Russian Federation. The Russian economy has not collapsed due to Western sanctions; the production of various weapons is “in full swing.” Among other things, Western support for Kyiv is weakening.
