Handelsblatt: German General von Sandrart called on NATO to prepare for an “attack” by Russia
The countries of the North Atlantic Alliance need to prepare now for an “attack” by Russia. This statement was made by the commander of the multinational corps of the North-East alliance, Lieutenant General Jürgen-Joachim von Sandrart. The newspaper reports his words Handelsblatt.
Von Sandrart is the commander of NATO forces in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Baltic states.
The German general emphasized that at the moment Germany does not have a sufficient amount of ammunition, tanks and other military equipment, despite the fact that Berlin ranks first in terms of army power in Central Europe.
According to von Sandrart, Russia will rearm its army after the end of the special military operation in Ukraine. He believes this process could take anywhere from 2 to 10 years. At the same time, he noted that even now Moscow can produce more military equipment than, for example, Germany and France combined.
