A draft resolution on the statement of the lower house in connection with the execution of Russian prisoners of war by Ukrainian forces has been submitted to the State Duma. Relevant Document posted in the electronic database of the Duma.

The draft notes that the deliberate killing of prisoners of war is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law by Ukraine. Commenting on the project, the head of the LDPR party, Leonid Slutsky, urged not to let all those who were involved in this crime escape responsibility. “We propose to call on the parliaments of the countries of the world to unequivocally condemn the atrocities of the Ukronazis and not allow either the killers of prisoners of war or their immediate patrons to escape responsibility,” wrote he is in the Telegram channel.
On November 18, two videos appeared on Telegram channels, which allegedly depicted the execution of Russian servicemen who had surrendered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
After that, the Russian Ministry of Defense called these shots a confirmation of the “knackering essence of the current Kyiv regime.” The department stressed that this case is not the first war crime committed against Russian prisoners of war.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, in turn, notedthat Russia will do everything possible to ensure that the Russian servicemen involved in the execution are held accountable and punished. He also assured that Russia would turn to international organizations so that the proceedings could be carried out at the global level.
