On April 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that provides for the digitalization of the military registration system and amends the standards for serving subpoenas – now subpoenas for those liable for military service will be sent in writing and duplicated in electronic form at the State Services. Those who receive the summons will not be able to leave Russia until they appear at the military registration and enlistment office. In case of ignoring the summons, citizens will not be able to drive a car, manage their property, etc. Information about the distribution of summonses is entered into the unified electronic register of military registration. In this case, the electronic summons will be considered delivered at the time of its placement in the personal account on the State Services.
