A criminal case was opened against the Deputy Commander of the Central District of the Russian Guard

The military investigative authorities opened a criminal case against the deputy commander of the Central District of the Russian Guard, Major General Vadim Dragomiretsky, informed Head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications Alexander Khinshtein.

“He is suspected of receiving multimillion-dollar bribes and exceeding his authority (part 6 of article 290 and part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This exposure was the result of a joint effort between the FSB and the National Guard. According to the decision of the director of the Russian Guard, Viktor Zolotov, documents have already been sent on the release of Dragomiretsky from his post with subsequent dismissal, ”wrote Khinshtein.

Khinshtein said that Dragomiretsky is suspected of systematically receiving “kickbacks” from a contractor company that was engaged in the reconstruction of one of the military units in the Moscow region. “According to preliminary data, a total of 19 million rubles were transferred by merchants,” the deputy said. According to him, Colonel Kochiev, head of the district base for storing material resources, was also part of the criminal scheme. He was detained the day before and sent to a pre-trial detention center, Khinshtein specified.
