The SBU opened a criminal case against Russian actor Dmitry Pevtsov
People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, State Duma deputy Dmitry Pevtsov became a defendant in a criminal case in Ukraine. According to local media, the Vinnitsa department of the SBU “announced suspicion” on the artist.
The reason for initiating a criminal case was reportedly Pevtsov’s public support for military operations within the framework of the Northern Military District. The SBU also stated that Pevtsov “is part of the close circle of the (Russian) senior military-political leadership.”
Pevtsov has previously repeatedly spoken out on the topic of SVO and took part in related events. So, in the fall of 2022, after partial mobilization was announced in Russia, he spoke to those mobilized and explained that they are fighting with “satanic forces”. In September of this year, the actor said that it was necessary to make films about SVO.
