The Liberal Democratic Party proposed to ban Russian officials from owning foreign real estate
The bill on the ban on owning real estate in states and territories that commit unfriendly actions against the Russian Federation and its legal entities was submitted to the State Duma by deputies from the Liberal Democratic Party, headed by Leonid Slutsky.

It is proposed to establish a ban on the ownership of real estate abroad for the President of the Russian Federation, the head of the Government of the Russian Federation, ministers, deputies, senators, and judges. Restrictions are also proposed to be extended to certain positions in power and law enforcement agencies, the Central Bank, the Accounts Chamber, and funds.
The draft law also proposes to ban these categories of Russians “from opening and having accounts (deposits), keeping cash and valuables in foreign banks located outside the territory of the Russian Federation.”
