A 12-year-old girl was killed during the shelling of the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Belgorod Region, informed in his Telegram channel, the head of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

The governor said that during the shelling she was talking on the phone with her father, the shell exploded behind her.

“No one will ever be able to comfort mother and father. No words of comfort will resurrect an only child. Everything related to the destruction – 9 artillery shells damaged 3 private houses, one outbuilding and a car. Ordinary residential buildings, an ordinary peaceful village! And a little girl…,” wrote Gladkov. The head of the Belgorod region also said that he had gone to the scene of the tragedy.

Formerly Gladkov informedthat during the shelling in Novaya Tavolzhanka, a girl who was on the street at the time of the shelling died.

At the end of December 2022, in the village of Shchetinovka, Belgorod District, Belgorod Region, a 14-year-old teenager received injury to the face and foot after stepping on an unidentified explosive object. On December 18, one person died in the Belgorod region. As the governor reported that day, an air defense system (air defense) worked over Belgorod and the Belgorod region.
