German ex-officer Rose: tanks will not turn the tide of the conflict in Ukraine

Retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Bundeswehr Jurgen Rose said that the FRG by supplying 14 tanks to Ukraine is unlikely to be able to help Kyiv turn the tide of hostilities in its favor. He explained this by the difficulties in logistics and the specifics of modern conflicts.
According to him, there may be a number of other strategic and political considerations behind these deliveries of combat vehicles.
“I believe that these supplies will not help to achieve a turning point in the course of the war. Most likely, this is an act of desperation aimed at ensuring that the morale of the Ukrainian military does not completely disintegrate, ”Rose noted.
He clarified that in the German army it takes about a year to train tankers according to the NATO standard.
