The Judicial Collegium of the Supreme Court of Bashkortostan, chaired by Liliya Nurmukhametova, having considered complaints against the verdict of the Bashkir nationalist Ramili Galim (formerly Saitova, included in the list of terrorists and extremists), upheld the verdict of the first instance.
In December 2023, Kirovsky District Court of Ufa admitted Ramil Galim was guilty of public calls for activities directed against the security of the state (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and sentenced her to five years in a general regime colony.
There was a criminal case excited because of a two-minute video posted on YouTube in November 2022, in which the defendant addressed the mobilized residents of Bashkiria, as was established in the courts, with calls for desertion. As the lawyer of the convicted woman, Garifulla Yaparov, told Kommersant-Ufa, his client will file a cassation appeal.
