Deputies will consider a bill on luxury tax in Russia
Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation will consider on April 2 a bill providing for the introduction of a luxury tax in the Russian Federation. The authors of the initiative were deputies of the faction “A Just Russia – For Truth.”
The document notes that the introduction of a luxury tax will be able to ensure a fair redistribution of funds in Russia and neutralize the effect of social stratification in society.
“Russia maintains a high level of social inequality… More than a third of citizens receive about 25 thousand rubles a month. 20 million people in the country live in a state of deep poverty,” the explanatory note notes.
