Japanese truck and pickup truck manufacturer Isuzu is leaning towards closing a production site in Russia due to problems with the supply of spare parts, according to the Yomiuri newspaper.

The company opened a production site in the Ulyanovsk region in 2008. In 2021, the company produced 3.7 thousand cars.

In 2022, the Russian division planned to increase the production of cars by 50 percent. However, in the spring the company stopped work.

Earlier, another Japanese automobile concern Toyota announced the closure of its Russian plant in St. Petersburg. The decision was also made due to the impossibility of delivering components to the enterprise.
