President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin referendums in Donbas, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. This is reported by the Anadolu agency.

According to the agency, Zelensky asked Erdogan to “influence” Putin during the talks, which are scheduled to be held on Thursday. However, Erdogan noted that Putin, whom he knows, “will do what he has planned.”

At the same time, the Turkish leader called for resolving the conflict through diplomacy and noted that the past referendums worried him.

Earlier, a representative of the Turkish President, Ibrahim Kalin, said that Ankara does not recognize the results of the referendums.
