The head of the Center for Digital Expertise of Roskachestvo Sergey Bodrov told “Gazeta.Ru” about how small and harmless devices – wireless headphones and charging cases for them – can cause serious damage to property and even health. Just like smartphones or electric scooters, they are prone to explosions due to marriage, aging, overheating, mechanical damage.
The headphones have built-in batteries, which means that sweat or other moisture, as well as mechanical stress, can lead to abnormal operation. As a result, an explosion, from which a minimum of some surface will deteriorate and a maximum of burns and injuries of varying severity, the expert recalled.
To the standard recommendations for preventing overheating, Bodrov added attention to working and storage conditions.
“You need to remember that batteries can explode due to bad falls, so leave the gadget aside if you plan to do active sports, for example. Do not carry the device in the back pocket of your clothes, otherwise, if you forget about it and sit on a hard surface, there is a risk of an explosion, ”the Roskachestvo expert warned.
