The Disciplinary Anti-Doping Committee (DAK) will announce its verdict in the case of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva in October. This was announced by the head of RUSADA Veronika Loginova.
She noted that the results are now being processed, the exact dates cannot yet be named.
“The investigation was in relation to the staff, the coaching staff is included there. Tentatively October is the date of the announcement of the result,” she told reporters.
Loginova also noted that all sanctions for athletes for violations are spelled out in the code. The standard term is four years, but it is not known what decision the DAK will make, as decisions may be different due to different circumstances.
Recall that at the 2022 Olympics, the banned substance trimetazidine was found in Valieva’s doping test. Valieva became the champion in the team tournament, however, due to litigation, the Russian figure skaters participating in the team competition were not awarded any awards.
