Rescuers began removing fragments of the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle in Yakutia
Yakutia rescue service specialists began to remove fragments of detachable parts of the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle from the Vilyuisky region. The department notes that employees have all the necessary equipment to cut and remove the resulting fragments from the territory.
Let us remind you that the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle was launched on February 29 of this year. Some time later, during the flight, the working group discovered one of the fragments – a fuel tank. On March 2, parts of the rocket, weighing about a ton, were delivered to the helipad.
“They will be delivered to their destination, where each fragment is numbered and recorded by representatives of TsENKI JSC,” said Pavel Alekseev, deputy head of the airmobile search and rescue unit.
He added that the fragments will be sent for disposal.
Let us remember that it was previously known that American spacecraft Crew Dragon from SpaceX with Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin on board, went to the International Space Station.
