In Kostomuksha, work on the construction of a ski and biathlon complex does not stop. Head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov spoke about his future plans on his page on the social network.
The authorities expect that the sports facility will gather on its territory not only Karelian lovers of an active lifestyle, but also citizens from other regions. We are talking about holding competitions at the Russian level.
“The conditions for this are optimal here – the snow falls early and melts late, it is of good quality,” the head of the region noted.
At the end of September, the contractor will finish with the zero cycle, and in October, the workers will start assembling the building frame. According to the head of the republic, the facility should be commissioned in 2023, but the primary task at the moment is not to forget about the infrastructure. So, the plans are to install lighting, fences and start equipping the ski-roller track.
